We had an amazing stay at Domus Terenzio, the rooms are exactly like on the pictures, the aircon is a must when visiting Rome in the summer, the breakfast is delicious (all the cold cuts, cheese is hand cut every morning), the staff is so friendly, and the location is perfect just 10 minutes walk to the Vatican and 25 minutes walk to Trevi fountain, Spanish Stairs, Pantheon, etc. Metro is also close and also bus station to take the shuttle to the airport which is the cheapest option! There’s also a supermarket and restaurants around the place! This will now be my go to place when I visit Rome!

The Vatican

The world’s smallest state is also one of its most attraction-packed spots. As the center of the Catholic Church, Vatican City is full of breathtaking religious architecture and artistic treasures. Must-sees include the imposing St. Peter’s Basilica—so vast that the Statue of Liberty could fit comfortably under its dome—and the mesmerizing frescoes at the Sistine Chapel.

After paying $80 for two time-specific tickets, there would have been at least a thousand cued up to enter with thousands already in the complex. It was a "cattle drive" with attendant rushing the mob along. I am a former museum director and this was my worst museum experience. BUT it is the only way to see the Sistine Chapel - also wall-to-wall people.

Reserve tickets especially for the Vatican Museums and Sistine Chapel, be at least 1. hours before your reserved time and have comfortable walking shoes. Do not visit the Basilica on Wednesday and Sunday mornings ( closed )before at least 1pm - unless you want to see the Pope from the balcony at noon. Be ready for very long queues.

If you want to see the Sistine Chapel , just be prepared that you're going to spend four times as much time getting there parading through the Vatican museum , which has all sorts of stuff that I didn't necessarily associate with the Vatican.

You pay hefty amount to get treated like cattle.

You pay hefty amount to get treated like cattle. You can barely walk inside the museum as there are 1000s of people in the same room as you. In case of an emergency, you will probably be injured, or even worse. Its only about the Vatican making money.

Need to book (and remember to bring passport or driver's licence). The Sistine Chapel remains wonderful, but you may find yourself beyond caring after trekking through the endless galleries of Roman remains lifted from their original sites by past Popes.

The location was excellent as it is just 5-10 minutes walk away from the Vatican and the metro to get to other places around Rome. Groceries were also nearby and restaurants adjacent to the apartment served first rate food for our family. Elevator access was great. The apartment was great for our family of 5. Best of all, our host was very responsive and accommodating and even helped us with most of everything upon arrival to his apartment.

This stylish apartment is very well located, in the heart of Trastevere, great restaurants all around, the main sights of the Vatican and central Rome all within some 20-30min walking distance (i.e. if one's not lazy to walk, they never need to use public transport). Ideal for a family of 4, could theoretically fit more ppl, but it would be packed. Has a fully equipped kitchen and even a washing machine. The staff we were in contact with were all nice, were messaging us if we need anything and facilitating our checkin/checkout.

Perfect location, perfect size for 2 people, we loved our stay here! This cute little apartment had everything we needed, and was located very close (walking distance) to downtown Trastavere & Rome sights. Easy walk to the Vatican too! Apartment was clean, bed was comfortable, and having a washer was a nice bonus (packed a lot less because of this!). Owner was quick to respond. Would highly recommend this place!

The apartment was wonderful! It was very clean and had a lot of space perfect, for a family. Roberto was an excellent host . He provided a lot of recommendations, and was very accommodating with our arrival time being earlier and allowing us to leave our bags before check-in. The apartment was in a great location, close to the Vatican and the metro station. Lots of food options close by. I would highly recommend to anyone visiting Rome

The location was great. Near the metro system ( literally steps away). Close to the Vatican. We felt like we were in Rome, not a cookie cutter hotel that could be anywhere. Niki was very helpful in making a taxi reservation for our early airport departure and also let us know that our room was ready earlier than anticipated.
