Fantastic location in Arashiyama. Very quiet. The rooms are huge (especially after the tiny rooms of Tokyo hotels!) - with balconies and sofas and the toilet separate from the bathroom. Front desk staff were excellent - very friendly and went out of their way to help us - especially the South Korean man (whose name I don't recall - apologies to him!), who dealt with our very rushed and stressed arrival so perfectly! Can't recommend this hotel highly enough.

I was a little worried due to mixed reviews. But we received wonderful care, spacious rooms, great location near the train station which enabled us to find seats on the bus. Not fancy, but great value for money!

The stay was around tranquil setting, close proximity to public transport and attractions yet away from the hustle and bustle. Staff is very friendly and helpful.
