We had dinner bed and breakfast and the food was an experience in itself. It was authentic, fresh and very tasty. There was a mixture of food -some sushi and some raw meat and veggies which we cooked at the table in a kind of broth. The hotel staff could not do enough to help and made sure we understood how to cook the meat. The staff were friendly and helpful. The bed was the best we had during our trip and helped in our good rest before our early checkout to head for Kamikochi. The hotel is located not far from the train station and all the restaurants. The room is small as in other typical hotel roms in Japan but clean, the pillows are a little bit to hard for us but there are various choices on breakfast. I used it as a base to take the bus to Kamikochi. I always like Toyoko Inn as it's a bit more spacious than other business hotels. Room size is perfect for one person.
