When travelling to a completely new place for the first time, one of the best things you can find is a warm, friendly welcome and kindness from your host that exceeds your expectations. Going back to Wagokoro at the end of a long day in busy Tokyo city was like coming home to family. We had lovely conversations and always felt taken care of - I even felt so comfortable practising my basic Japanese with our hosts as they are so nice to talk to us every day. The room was lovely with wooden interiors, and we really loved hanging out in the common room. The common room had an equipped kitchen, free tea and coffee, and cute tables to sit and have a snack or meal. There are also lots of good places to eat around the hotel, and the train station was just a 7-minute walk away. Wagokoro had a level of hospitality that we have never experienced before, it's definitely a place we would like to stay at again next time in Tokyo :)

The room was cute, comfortable, and cozy. I loved the beds and the soft duvets. The hotel is very conveniently located— the bus from Narita Airport dropped us off nearby, and the subway is also just a short walk away. Doing laundry on-site was easy and quick; the washer already had detergent and spun the clothes really well. There are plenty of restaurants and shops close by, which made exploring the area simple. The staff were pleasant and spoke English, which made our stay even more comfortable.

Fantastic location in a quiet neighborhood, but 3 minutes walk from major train/metro network. Good to be by Ueno station for direct line from Narita airport or Shinkansen north/south. Professional and friendly staff. Very comfortable bed (best sleep in 4 months after SE Asia travel) and clean room, small closet area and a refrigerator for 7-eleven drinks/snacks, just the right size for 2 people. Self-laundry was very convenient with washing machine that has built-in laundry detergent, makes it so simple. Outside lounge space was lovely. Felt like we could relax and feel at home.
