The free coffee, hot choco, or matcha downstairs that can be accessed 24/7. There is a microwave available at the reception area too so if needed it can be used. The tables at the reception were useful as a meetup place for my family in different rooms before we all head out. The location is superb as it is close to Nishiki Market and shopping area. Plenty of food options around the area too. Staff are courteous and helpful. Can login to stream sites such as Netflix so perfect for days or nights when we feel like staying in the room.

Very comfortable and spacious rooms in a good location, close to a train on a direct line to Osaka and about 15 mins walk to Nishiki markets. Plenty of room for our party of 6 (4 adults and 2 teens) in a 2 bedroom Japanese suite. We wish we’d stayed here for longer and done day trips to Osaka instead of changing hotels.

Brilliant small hotel, we were upgraded to a room with a balcony it was spacious and such a bonus to have the washing machine and drying room. Staff were so lovely and helpful. A great stay in fantastic location seconds from the Nishiki Market!

The location of this hotel was a 3 min walk to Nishiki Market area which is full of shops, restaurants, cafes and anything else you need. The hotel itself was urban modern, clean, a good size for 2 people and luggage, close to public transport and very friendly and helpful staff. The hotel was chosen for accessibility and it provided all that. The bathroom was a seperate shower and toilet. Breakfast was on the lighter side but filled a hungry tummy to start the day

I really felt in love with this hotel as it was my first stop in Japan. Staff is very hepfull and super polite, they let you keep your luggage day on check in and also on check out, there is always complimentary drinks (even sake) and breakfast is a very nice introduction to Kyoto cusine. Highly recommended. Place itself is like 30 min wal on foot from busy nishiki market and other areas which is very nice, as you could rest well without turist chaos

The location was very convenient, close to cafés and restaurants, and just a short walk from Nishiki Market. The room was quite spacious compared to other hotels (especially in Tokyo, where rooms were much smaller), and it was tidy, clean, and fitted with new furniture. Everything worked well. The staff were excellent, with great service and attention to detail, very friendly and helpful throughout our stay. Breakfast was also good, with plenty of options and thoughtful accommodation for gluten-free requirements.

I’m running out of praise to describe our experience at this hotel. The reception was fantastic, and the staff speak perfect English. Professional, efficient, fast, attentive, and friendly service—fully up to Japanese standards. The location is excellent, right on Kyoto’s main shopping street, just a few meters from Nishiki Market and a five-minute walk from Pontocho and Gion. The rooms are spacious and equipped with everything you need for a comfortable stay in Kyoto.
