Many things. Design is great! We booked because of the hotel design. Facilities also great. Free flow drink for evening until 11pm - beer, sake, juice, ice-cream etc. staffs are great, able to speak English very well. The location also great, able to walk to the whole Takayama city centre.

Well located to main sites, extremely friendly and helpful staff, large, modern, clean rooms. This boutique hotel has only a limited number of rooms. It's an excellent alternative to the standardised chain hotel product.
