The room was big and spotlessly clean. The breakfast was amazing, a lot of choices and every day there were different varieties of dishes. They also have coin washing machines and a library with free tea and sweets between specific hours. It is 5-10 min walking distance from Toji Temple which is very beautiful. There is a bus station just in front of the hotel which has direct access to many attractions. Everything was perfect and if I came in back to Kyoto I would choose this hotel again.

Our favorite hotel in Japan. The location is perfect, just a 2-minute walk from the Umekoji train station, making it super convenient for travel with luggage. The rooms are spacious and clean, but the amenities are the real highlight. Guests have free access to a lovely Sento with a sauna, a 24/7 coffee station, and a fantastic complimentary evening drinks and snacks bar. Unbeatable value and a wonderful experience.

Superb. Everything was great about staying here. The best was the breakfast, which had the most delicious and enormous range of Japanese (and some western) food. The staff were incredibly attentive. The room comfortable and quiet. And the complementary sake tasting each afternoon was a nice touch.
