From 29 April up to 02 August 2024 work will be done on renewing the tram tracks in the Leidsestraat. Because of this tram 2 and 12 will run a diverted route. Trams 2 and 12 run a diverted route in both directions between Leidseplein (Leidsebrug) and Dam via Marnixstraat, Rozengracht, Westermarkt, Raadhuisstraat and Nieuwezijds Voorburgwal to Central Station.

Cars bikes trucks scooters going every which way with what appears to be no one following any kind of traffic traffic rules. You literally put your own life in danger trying to walk around in Amsterdam. I will never visit there again.

Big room with kitchenette (sink, fridge, microwave) coffee machine. Walk in shower. Big bed! Great location near Leidseplein square with bars and restaurants. Easy access to railway station, 25 minute walk or 10 minutes by tram (very very frequent).

Best "Budget" hotel I've been to in Amsterdam, very friendly staff, very clean and lovely room and common area, and well located to get anywhere by foot or public transportation (tram around the corner, "hub" Leidseplein around 15min by foot). The hotel provides snacks and drinks and even gave me a little gift - thanks a lot! Will totally consider Asterisk again for my next trip

Great location, not too touristy, not too crowded, yet with access to everything via the Leidseplein square. Walking distance to the museumsquartier, which was my priority. Good installations, friendly staff. Everything looked pretty new and well kept. I especially appreciated the 1h complimentary late check-out I so kindly received upon requesting. Safe surroundings, which I also very much appreciated as a woman traveling alone. Food and market options nearby.
