A bit chaotic and crowded - difficult convoluted path walking (sidewalks, ramps, elevators, via parking garages, to get to the heart of the area when coming from the waterfront. Not for most Seniors. Better to approach the area via 1st Avenue, however you can get there

It was cool to see Pike Place market but we skipped Starbucks; all you really need is a photo of the logo outside. The queue was already long at 9:00 in the morning! And don't buy any fruit there - we bought 4 nectarines and were charged $12. Try the chowder around the corner though - that was excellent.

We attended a concert at Benaroya Hall and it was an easy walk from the hotel. As was the walk the next morning to Pike Place Market. The ambiance in the hotel lobby was fabulous. Rooms were very comfortable.

Centrally located in Pioneer Square, it was very easy to walk to everything - Pike Place Market, downtown, Chihuly Museum, the Space Needle, etc. The waterfront is also a few steps away where there are numerous attractions for tourists. There is a light rail station nearby for access to Seattle Airport (SEATAC), which is a 42 minute ride from Pioneer Square station. Everything in the hotel room is so well designed that despite the small size it felt great. Bed was very comfortable!

The location was perfect. Right across the main street from Pike Place Market. Which is in the heart of downtown Seattle. A quick 10 min walk to Westlake Center for all all public transit. The apartment was perfect. One bedroom. Fully stalked kitchen with utensils. Early check in if room is available. Or they will hold your luggage if room is not available. There is a front desk personnel from 9a-5p. My wife loved it. We will definitely be back

This is a good, solid Best Western with an old hotel style. Pioneer Square, location, is bad at night (addicts & homeless), but during the day the location is okay and convenient (near waterfront restaurants, ferry to Bainbridge Island, Pike Place Market and sports stadiums). Best Western has little or no control over the city's management of the neighborhood other than to close and move. As a TripAdvisor review said, the city of Seattle has down a great job of marketing Pioneer Square as a must see area, which it is not.

The location of the hotel was great - close to restaurants, the Pike Place market and the waterfront. We arrived to Seattle by plane, took the light-rail to Westlake Center, and then walked about 8-10 minutes to the hotel - no problem. Our king-bed room was good size and the bed was comfortable. The reception staff were pleasant and helpful. The room AC worked well. We recommend this hotel.
