Ryman Auditorium
There’s a real understated beauty to this 14th-century town hall. A pointy, slender main space comes to a tip along the tiled gable, and the tower pokes into the sky with picture-postcard elegance. Inside, mediaeval memorabilia abounds, from frescoes to statuettes. Definitely one where you need to bring your camera.

Beautiful architecture with rich history. As a newcomer or tourist I had to differentiate the Ryman and the Grand Ole Opry. They are often referred to as both, thus leaving the assumption they are one and the same. The Grand Ole Opry is a separate building approximately 11 miles away from the Ryman. While I enjoyed my visit, the displays aren't the most impressive (For Nashville anyway) and while the video is very well made that by itself is not worth the admission price. Seeing the historic auditorium itself is pretty cool if you aren't actually going to a show there. If you are seeing a show there it's probably not worth the backstage tour.
