Lodges in Ballstad

I loved the project of renovation of these old fishermen's huts. The lodges are super well designed and have a stunning view to the internal pond. The restaurant is for fine ding and allows you to taste some Scandinavian dishes and local delicacy. Every lodge has a fully equipped kitchen where you can cook your own meals and breakfast. The small behind the lodges allows you to do some northern lights hunting in the right time of the year.

We were booked for three nights and hoped to see the Nothern lights, sadly they proved elusive. But there are many great spots around the grounds to take amazing photos of the lodges and the mountains. The food at Fangst was exceptional and the staff at the lodge were wonderful. Very approachable and friendly. Hillside hut number 8 had great views and was spacious. It’s just a short 5 minute walk to the local supermarket.

I had an amazing stay at Hemmingodden Lodge. It was so cozy and peaceful. I booked last minute and ended up staying two extra days. Would absolutely recommend.

The lodge is a gem! We had a very comfortable and happy stay here. The staff were super helpful and friendly. Dinner at Fangst was absolutely wonderful. Would love to come back one day!
