Amazing location. Many walks along canyon ridge starting right from hotel. Run primarily by a very hard-working and kind and thoughtful family. Food was farm-to-table. Views are so great you should spent at least two full days there to get full appreciation. Beautiful eco lodge and amazing hospitality by the family. Thank you so much for a great experience, and for organizing a 5am cab to Chivay for us :)

The llahuar lodge is one of the best hostel lodges I’ve ever stayed at. It’s a long hike to get there but it’s so worth it for the tranquil and natural hot springs at the base of the canyon. The food provided at the restaurant is tasty and reasonable. The family running the place is incredibly warm and kind, the best Peru has to offer. Try to take a dip after dark to enjoy the Andean night sky, shooting stars, and the Milky Way above.

It is a little paradise. Really great to relax far from civilization. Pool area was amazing, it was just missing sunbeds but it was ok to sunbathe on the grass as well. Food was simple but the host was really trying to accommodate even with vegan food. We stayed 2 days and each time I got a different meal. The lodges were simple but clean and the bed was very comfortable. You had no choice but to relax as there was nowhere else to go.

Lovely lodges in a great location. It was lovely to relax in hot springs next to the river. The hot springs are really warm and the river is ice cold so it gives a great balance. The hike to and from is excellent with a good mix of scenery and challenge. Really nice hosts

The location is just breathtaking and definitely worth the walk from Cabanaconde. Roberto is very friendly and helpful, and speaks English, which comes in handy. Another plus are of course the hot springs and the nice food. Finally, the fact that all lodges in the Colca canyon accommodate the free roaming guide dogs is just the icing on the cake. Considering the secluded location and comparing it to other accommodations in Peru, the comfort and hygiene were astonishing.

After a 5-hour hike from Cabanaconde (recommended to start at Homestay Pachamama!) we arrived at the lodge in Llahuar. The stay has several tiny lodges and 3 hotspring which are very nice after a day of hiking. In the evening, you have the opportunity to order some food at their place for a good price.

This place is amazing! The views are fab, hot thermal bath with a cold beer is incredible and the food was good too. I WANT to come back here. So authentic unlike some of the backpacker lodges can be. I rode my motorcycle down and it’s totally doable. Amazing ride too. Can’t recommend this place enough
