First of all, we did a long research on choosing the right stay at the Uros community. There is so many places that don’t belong to real Uros anymore. Walter and his family are amazing hosts. He build the island with his dad. For us he took care of everything. Special food requests, pick up from the train station and also transfer to the airport. His transfer services have a really fair price. The boat pick up, and a tour on a traditional boat are included. The communication with Walter works really good. Ge also speaks some English. We had really hot water and were able to use the heater inside the room whenever we wanted. Everything is very clean and neat. With Walter and his family you will have one of the greatest experiences at the Uros community!

Staying at Amalia Titicaca Lodge with Juan and his wonderful family was one of the highlights of our entire trip to Peru. This is not just a place to stay—it’s a truly unforgettable experience that you simply should not miss. From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed with such warmth and kindness. Juan and his family took care of us as if we were their own. When we struggled with the altitude on our first day, they immediately made us feel comfortable, preparing special teas and even giving us hot water bottles for the night. The altitude sickness disappeared overnight, thanks to their care! Juan took us out on a fantastic boat tour of Lake Titicaca, sharing his knowledge and the beauty of the lake with us. In the evening, he cooked us an incredible supper—fresh and delicious. Breakfast the next morning was the same. Everything about our stay was authentic, peaceful, and filled with small, thoughtful touches. But what truly sets this place apart is Juan’s generosity and dedication. Halfway to Cusco, I realized I had left my laptop behind at the lodge—a total panic moment! Juan went above and beyond to make sure I got it back before leaving Cusco, personally organizing for it to be delivered by bus so I wouldn’t have to pay $200 for a private shuttle. I am eternally grateful for his kindness and effort! If you’re looking for a genuine, unforgettable experience on Lake Titicaca with hosts who treat you like family, do not hesitate—book a stay at Amalia Titicaca Lodge. You will be so glad you did. We loved it all, the people the place it was a wonderful experience. The room was warm and comfortable, very relaxing. Ceaser and Lucy have really worked hard making it such a lovely place with their lovely family, they look after their guests very well, from the very clean, bright, comfortable cosy rooms to the fresh cooking made by Lucy and local tours of their neighbourhood explaining so much of their way of life, which is very interesting. It's another world and very different, but we loved it and watcing the stunning beautiful sunsets every night from our cabin, Very relaxing! Thanks for having us both Ceaser & Lucy!

What an incredible experience staying in this unique location! A family run hotel on a genuine floating island, Wilbur and Delia treat you like their own family. We stayed two nights and this really allowed us to enjoy the beautiful location and community. The room is beautiful, with embroidered hangings made by Delia. Very cosy bed with a view to die for, made better by the hot water bottles placed in the bed while you have dinner. Simply can't say enough how much we enjoyed this stay. Great breakfast and good value dinner.

We had a great time at the lodge. We enjoyed the food and the tour of the lake. The view of the lake through the glas windows is stunning. Compared to other lodges this one has its own island and is located further away from the village.

Incredible location and located a bit further out than other similar lodges on the Uros islands so it was very peaceful. The scenery is just stunning. Our room was of an excellent standard with a very comfy king size bed. We also enjoyed sitting out on our porch, watching the sunset was really special. Eduardo and family were so helpful and friendly and the food provided was delicious. We stayed only one night but would recommend two nights if you have time.

Great location! The room was not expensive compared to other lodges nearby. The hot water bottles were helpful to keep our bed warm the whole night, amazingly till the morning. The people were very friendly and helpful.
