Fernando is very knowledgeable and always open to sharing information about the fauna and flora and wildlife. We loved our stay there.

Both WiFi and private parking are accessible at the lodge free of charge. We liked everything and were very happy with our choice. The little house in the middle of the forest/jungle was amazing. It was so quiet. Only at 4 am the hawley monkeys were waking us up with their funny voices. Bryan recommend us a good place to eat dinners at Selvin in Punta Uva and we were in love in that place too. Having a car really helps. You can visit all these playas and a must see that is Cahuita NP.

The houses are built inside the stretch of a beautiful selva, with direct access to the pristine, unspoiled beach. We were surrounded by sounds and sightings of wildlife on our walks to and from the beach, and when enjoying our time at the house. The love, attention and effort that goes into the maintenance of this amazing place is truly incredible. Everything works perfectly, from showers to kitchen utilities and all other comforts. Marisol took great care of us and helped us to spot sloths, toucans and howler monkeys. One of our closest wildlife encounters on the trip also took place at Congo Bongo. Following Marisol’s recommendation, we had two dinners at the local restaurant Mista Cook, it was delicious. Muchas gracias, we will be back!

My teenagers say it was their favourite place in Costa Rica. Garden is fantastic and full of wildlife, pool squeaky clean.

It is well maintained, also you can see multiple species of birds, heard howler monkeys around. The pool area is also great when it’s not raining 😀 It has a parking space. Overall, a perfect place, I would rebook.

Towels and bed linen are available. This was our favorite place we stayed during our two week trip to Costa Rica. It was great being in the jungle, and having a cozy and private place to relax outside in the evenings. The owner is friendly and speaks decent English. He'll check up on you but also give you your privacy.The villa was clean with a nice fridge and a kitchen stocked with just about anything you would need to cook yourself. The outer porch had a couple of chairs and a hammock to relax in while you listened to nature and caught a fresh breeze. There is a nice grocery store just down the street and a pastry shop closeby for breakfast. The Cocles beach is a short walk away and is the best beach in the area, with several good restaurants and bars to choose from. Puerto Viejo is 3 km away; you can rent a bike nearby or walk it if you want. The first morning the gardner gave us a tour of the grounds and we saw several sloths, a toucan, an iguana, and many other animals. An agouti lived in the trees next to our villa. Decent bathroom and shower, comfortable bed with mosquito net, good wifi. It was nice to be outside the energy of Puerto Viejo but be close to its amenities, and away from the road noise of the main street.
