Danta Corcovado Lodge can contact the guest with local tour agencies to arrange tours and outings. Our 2nd visit and we extended it further once we got there. The staff are brilliant (and helped me with improving my Spanish) and the place is unique. We like the Canta Rana bungalow best as it has a lagoon around it, but they are all privately located in the jungle. The dinner deal is great value and good food. There are trails to walk and animals and birds all around. One of our favourite places and we've travelled to over 60 countries. Thanks Merlin and team.

The bungalows at La Leona Eco Lodge have no electricity and are lighted with candles. They have plenty of ventilation and toiletries are provided. The bathrooms can be both shared and private.

Some accommodation includes a terrace with mountain views, a fully equipped kitchen and a private bathroom with shower. You are located right in the jungle! You are on the monkey highway’! So many animals to see right from your deck, three kinks of monkeys, scarlet macaws, toucans, trogons, hummingbirds and more. Great beds; screens on the windows as well as fans and good AC. This allows you to have the room open to a nice breeze or the comfort of the AC. Wonderful big shower with plenty of hot water. Large refrigerator with room for ice. Bird tour with Louise was wonderful, they have lots of other tours available and they will pick you up right at Maze Lodge. The lodge is right next to a Zip Line tour, we didn’t try it, but I’m sure you can get a great deal.

With garden views, Kinkajoungalows - Amaya Family, Drake Bay, Osa Peninsula is set in San Pedrillo and has a restaurant, a tour desk, bar, garden and terrace. Both WiFi and private parking are accessible at the lodge free of charge. Incredibly beautiful location with a jungle feel right on the beach. The Amaya family and everyone involved are kind and very well organized - not used to such all-round service when traveling, we felt truly spoiled.

Was hard for us to leave... Silvina and Dario were so helpful, the place is full of animals all around, beautiful private beach to watch the sunrise, shared new and well-equiped open kitchen where you can cook your own meals. No A/C (its an Ecoodge) but a nice breeze from the sea.

El Remanso really matches the epitome of luxury lodges anywhere in the world, such as the top properties operated by Oberoi or Taj. Where do I begin... I was wowed by the stylishness and comfort of my room (more below), loved the pool, and fell in love with the setting deep in the rainforest, seeing and hearing the Pacific Ocean in the background, and experiencing the fauna and flora in daily walks. Yet the two most outstanding features were the people and the food. I learned in the introduction of the hotel in the in-room hotel guide that it is a local family business hiring only locals from the Osa península. They wrote apologetically that everyone studies hard but that as they constantly train up new employees, too, one should excuse any imperfection. The experience, however, was the best I've ever had. Everything comes from people's heart - they not only are most professional (as they must be trained extremely well) but everything they do seems to come from a deep desire to make their guests happy. For example, the driver who picked me up from the airport already tried to spot animals to show me during the 1-hour drive to the lodge, stopping along the way where he found some. They offer "at least" one guided tour every day and they actually arranged two for me every day even though some were private tours as I was the only guest that had requested certain tours during my stay. At the same time, when I asked about one of the paid tours mentioned in their list of tour options, they told me that given the length of my stay, they would recommend that I focus on their free tours which they honestly considered the best choices! Which other hotel would intentionally forgo a chance to generate some extra commission only to give the best possible experience to the guest? The food was just as outstanding.

Surrounded by tropical rainforest, with waterfalls and nature, Luna Lodge features incredible nature tours, yoga, spa treatments, an organic swimming pool and free Wi-Fi in public areas. This property is run by hydro energy and offers private bathrooms with hot water, free toiletries and panoramic views of the surroundings. The bungalows and tents have private decks and the rooms have a terrace. Electricity is available 24 hours a day. Very warm and inviting. Staff knowledgeable and helpful. Good guides and a long list of activities for purchase. Probably best food in Carate and ranks among the best prepared "lodge" meals I've had anywhere.

You will find a tour desk at the property. Corcovado Beach Lodge, uses solar energy, recycles and cleans rooms with biodegradable products. The place is beautifully cared for, with a variety of lodging options each set apart from the others. The lidge is a few steps away from the far end of a peaceful and calm beach so generally one is alone there. Also in walking distance of a nice beachfront restaurant/bar. The owner Tomas is very friendly and helpful, as is his assistant Julia. They let me bring my dog! I actually spent 3 nights there, not 1. I will recommend it to friends

Puerto Jimenez Airport is 14 km from the property. We loved the warm welcome from all the friendly furry friends- adorable dogs and the sweetest kitten Aurora. The staff was also very kind and accommodating. The sounds of the jungle during the night was amazing. The areas were as clean as can be, don’t forget you are in the jungle, it’s an open concept.
