The private onsen across the street is incredible, I had it to myself every night, and there is an option for breakfast. The room was perfect for two of us, and Papa was so kind to drive us to and from the Myokokogen station and the mountains, and also on some errands which was so kind. It feels like you are stepping into a place that can’t be created, a piece of personality.

The property offers a free shuttle service. Free private parking is available on site. The owner was the kindest person I have ever met. We went to this hotel with a small group of friends as we were participating in a spartan race taking place in the vicinity. The owner offered to give us a free shuttle service to go from the Echigo yuzawa station to the hotel upon arrival (for both groups that arrived at a different time), as well as from the hotel to the spartan race location and back the next day. He also allowed us to come back to the hotel to have a shower after the race, after our check-out time and free of charge. He finally also gave a ride to the station again. This was a life saver given the state we were in after the race. This is probably the best service I've ever seen in my life. The room was a nice Japanese style room for 3 people, with shared bathrooms for the floor, but there are enough stalls that this is absolutely not a problem. All in all, I would absolutely recommend this hotel to anyone wanting to stay in a cozy little room and just to meet the amazing person the owner is.

A ski pass sales point, ski-to-door access and ski storage space are all provided at K・Lodge, and guests can go skiing in the surroundings. It was very clean and well maintained, the bedding was super comfortable and the air conditioning really helped cool down the summer heat. We were there for Fuji Rock and the location is really great for getting the shuttle bus to the venue and back. The lodge even offered a free service back to the station the day after the festival. Staff were super friendly and helpful too.

Vegetarian, dairy-free and halal options can also be requested. This place is amazing! The room was super clean, warm, and the bed was really comfortable. Good reliable WiFi throughout the lodge, and if you're a skier or snowboarder the drying room downstairs is perfect for storing your gear. The location is lovely and scenic but only a short drive to plenty of places to eat, the train station, and the various snow resorts; transfers to the resorts were easy to organise, and a few of the closer ones are offered free of charge (the further ones cost but are very reasonable). The traditional bath they have available is also incredible for a soak after a big day on the mountain! Chereyne and Brett are fantastic hosts with a wealth of knowledge about the area, very welcoming and happy to help with things like train station pickups, making local dinner reservations, making resort recommendations etc. They were also super accommodating of my dietary requirements (vegan) for all meals we ate at the lodge - amazing cooked breakfasts with continental options available too, and beautiful traditional barbeque dinners (they alternate with more western style meals and it's up to you which you want to eat in/out for). Myoko is a beautiful spot with some amazing snow to be enjoyed and it's super accessible from Tokyo, would absolutely recommend this place and hope we get the opportunity to come back!

The lodge features both WiFi and private parking free of charge. This property was in a great location. it was very homey and the hosts were amazing! They made sure we had everything we needed, gave us good recommendations of where to go while in Myoko-Kogen and overall we’re very helpful to us!

The house and staff was awesome, they were very helpful with everything we needed. Legend inn was the best, would happily stay here again!

Myoko Ski Lodge in Akakura Village offers 1-star accommodation with a hot spring bath. It’s a happy place! Geoff and Tania ensured that we were well taken care of throughout the stay! They tried their best to pick us up from the train station even though there was a heavy snowfall on the night we arrived. All staffs were kind and friendly. Others who lived at the lodge were also very nice and sociable. I’m really glad to meet new friends from different parts of the world. Started the day with breakfast prepared by the team, then went snowboarding — ask Geoff to recommend ski areas if you’re unsure! Get into the onsen after a whole day of snow then head out to the village (about 7min walk) for dinner after — similarly, if you’re unsure where to eat, ask! Hang out at the common area to chill, chat, watch a movie, play games with affordable beers etc! Maximise your time here if you can! We were really sad to leave and wanted to stay an extra day.. ): till next time!
