We stayed in a family room, which was comfortable and clean. It is a half hour drive to the park though, so you should aware of this before you book, but we saw so many animals on the drive to the park, it wasn’t a problem.

The food was delicious, and breakfast was really good. Waking up to that breathtaking Kilimanjaro view in the morning was amazing. We totally recommend this place 100%!

Wilson and the other guys were very nice, they helped us so much with everything starting with how to get to their place from Nairobi, finding the right Matatu and they sent us a Boda Boda (motorbike pickup) and organized our two game drives which were great! The place is very calm and located in the middle of local villages with many farms, goats and cows around. The hotel area was very nice with a lovely garden and each hut has it's own little veranda with a view at Mt. Kilimanjaro (when its not too foggy). After dinner we enjoyed a nice fire and had a great conversation with the guys and were petting the lovely dogs (Morio - we miss you!)

Staff were excellent ( Bernard, Duncan, Griffin, Chef, Hotel mgr) Food was great, Chef was very accommodating and doled out Kenyan dishes on request. Also has good veg options. Sleep quality was good, mattress are pretty comfy for people with back problems & better than many 5 stars in Kenya. We stayed 2 nights and could do safari for a day , Bernard helped us by optimizing park entrance fees else we would have overpaid! Air Mombasa damaged our bag lock it was not opening and we had a hard time but the hotel staff were very helpful in opening. The hotel has great views of Mt Kilimanjaro and is close to the park gates, good access to get in to park and also to go out on highways.

Original Masai camp site, with handmade wooden or clay houses in a beautifull nature. And the view on Kili! Nothing artificial like in the fancy lodges. It's real Luv it!
