The most beautiful place i've stayed in so far! Harshana is very cool and open and as a solo Traveler it is very Nice to have his company! He works very hard and it shows. The place is super clean. I would recommend getting food in the house itself because it was so delicious. Plus: you get to have dinner with a view that looks like a painting!

Sanjeeva hat sehr lecker für uns gekocht und als wir abreisen wollten, um den Zug nach Ella zu bekommen und gerettet. Unser Taxi kam nicht und er hat uns sehr schnell zwei Tuktuks organisiert, so dass wir den Zug noch geschafft haben. Vielen Dank!

Everything about this property is exceptional. The Mountain View rooms, with their full glass windows and private patio seating, offer breathtaking views and beautifully curated interiors. The serene, secluded setting, away from the main town and that was exactly what I was looking for, surrounded only by the soothing sounds of nature and birdsong. Wi-Fi is not available, which was perfectly fine for me, as it added to the peaceful, unplugged experience. The staff were incredibly courteous, prompt, and attentive, ensuring we had everything we needed throughout our stay. A special mention to Mr. Inthizar, the owner and host, whose warmth, helpfulness, and genuine hospitality truly set this place apart. He went above and beyond, not only ensuring our stay was comfortable, but also helping with taxis, sharing local tips, and even guiding us during our trip after we had checked out. If I could, I’d give this place 11 out of 10 stars. Highly recommended for anyone seeking calm, scenic, and heartwarming hospitality away from city’s chaos.

For us it was an amazing week that we did not expect the peace of the place, and the ease of getting around. Asela drove us to Kandy any time, we didn't know is was so close, and the drive so easy. It was actually nicer for us to be out of the city and Ascela took us around at a very low cost, we used messaging and always on time to meet us. Restaurants are interesting in town but we enjoyed eating at the home-stay because the food was very very good & healthy, such a beautiful place to look over the valley & their own vegetable & herb garden! We liked going on walks, magnificent views, and Asela actually gave us a little hiking tour! In Kandy, there are tourists like us- at Tedro we had privacy, but also felt part of the community when we took walks. There is a TV but we never used it. We will be back, some day, and we do recommend this precious experience to anyone that wants good food, good sleep (the bed is great, view is really nice) access to town& the sights. In fact, we ended up going on a longer excursion to Siguria with Asela as our driver! He kindly got us there and back safeley, and gave us a lot of space for personal privacy as we did our own exploring. He is a very good guide and his family - downstairs from the room & porches - is respectful.

The venue, arrangement, food and hospitality were all top tier. Would definitely recommend to a friend or a colleague to pay a visit to stay here. Mr. Pathirana, the owner warmly welcomed us and briefed us about the facilities and amenities. He recommended us the exceptionally good Pittu (which we claim the best Pittu we ever had) cooked for dinner by his cook, Mr. Chaminda. And he recommended to us their special Kiribath (milk rice) made from a special rice for breakfast. The room was very cozy and had everything we needed. The room had a bathroom and an outdoor shower carved out of a single granite. The backyard of the room was a small hill, grown with flowers and vegetables. On top of the hill (about 25m-50m away from the room), there was a swing decorated with flowers. The dinner and the breakfast were filling and tasty. Mr. Asanka warmly arranged the table for us. After breakfast, Mr. Chaminda walked us to their nearby land to show us their vegetable garden, water lily (Olu) pond and the well next to the Kubuk tree. It was an unforgettable stay for us and we thank Mr. Pathirana, Mr. Chaminda, Mr. Asanka and Mr. Pathirana's wife for that.

Mit einer Terrasse und Bergblick, ist die Unterkunft Solitary Cottage Dunhinna gelegen in Teldeniya, 25 km von Internationales Cricketstadion Pallekele und 38 km von Bogambara-Stadion entfernt. Wer eine wunderbare ruhige Unterkunft mit fantastischem Ausblick sucht, ist hier genau richtig. Ich bin mit dem Motorroller gekommen und da ist die Anfahrt tatsächlich eine Herausforderung, aber man wird reich belohnt. Am schönsten Punkt des Geländes hat der Inhaber sogar eine Schaukel angebracht und im kleinen Cottage ist alles, was man so braucht. Die Matratze ist relativ fest aber es gab noch Schaummatratzen unter dem Bett so dass auch die, die gerne weicher schlafen, eine für sich bequeme Alternative finden. Mein Tipp: unbedingt bei den supernetten Caretakern das köstliche Abendessen und Frühstück buchen und draußen mit Blick auf die fantastische Landschaft mit Glühwürmchen und dem liebenswerten "Wachhund" Rocky genießen. Alles in allem ein tolles Erlebnis, dass ich gerne wiederholen werde, wenn ich mal wieder in der Gegend bin.
