We had a truly wonderful stay at Rock Shade Chalet – Sigiriya. The chalet was clean, spacious, and well-equipped, with a beautiful natural setting close to the main attractions. Both breakfast and dinner were delicious and freshly prepared, making our stay very comfortable. A special mention goes to Mr. Lasantha, who gave us massive support throughout our stay. His warm hospitality, attention to detail, and genuine care made a big difference. Furthermore, he arranges Sri Lankan cooking lessons for foreign guests, which is a wonderful initiative to share our food and culture with the world. What impressed us most is that all of this is offered at an affordable price, and the team works tirelessly 24/7 to give their very best to guests. Overall, Rock Shade Chalet is a perfect place for a peaceful family getaway, and I would highly recommend it to anyone visiting Sigiriya.

This is like a five-star hotel quality stay! I am travelling around Sri Lanka and this lodge, is the best decision I made! I stay at the double room that is on the second floor. The host welcome me when I arrive and take my life-threatening heavy luggage upstairs. And after I enter the room, I am like,”wooooooooow”. It’s a five star hotel, honestly. The big toilet and bathroom, clean and tidy with everything you needed. The TERRACE! Its fire!!! I could’ve shoot a music video here. All the plants are so well planted and design. That chill afternoon of me sitting in the terrace is going to be imprinted in my memory for as long as possible. I can tell by other guests face as well, when they are sitting on the swing beds in front of their rooms, they are having the best moments. I am fully refresh after a long journey around the island and sigiriya has made it to the list of my most favourite place. The breakfast is amazing !!! The host, he is an angel. He just looks like he had been trained in like top class hotel with all his service and manners. I loved it so much with the breakfast call, the arrangement and introduction for all the amazing activity around sigiriya. I went around the town with the tuktuk the host booked and the driver is friendly af! Showing me all those monkeys explaining the culture in sigiriya before I get to the rock. NO MOSQUITOS AT ALL.

Alles! Das Zimmer war sehr schön und sauber mit bequemen Betten. Auf der Terrasse vor dem Zimmer konnte man Vögel und sogar Affen beobachten. Schöne ruhige Lage und trotzdem nah zu Restaurants. Die Dame des Hauses hat uns jeden Morgen ein leckeres Frühstück gezaubert. Es war sogar so gut, dass wir nach einem Abendessen gefragt haben und dieses hat alle unsere Erwartungen übertroffen! Sehr liebe Gastfamilie, die immer für ein Gespräch offen sind und weiterhelfen.

The owner was incredibly helpful and advised us well on how make the most of our time in beautiful Sigiriya. He happily drove us wherever we needed to go in his tuk tuk which is a real advantage. While there are some parts of the hotel still being built, the rooms are very clean, cozy, and tastefully furnished. The location is within 200 meters walking distance to several restaurants, etc. and the Lion Rock park is only ~5 minutes away

Honestly can't recommend Sigiriya Lake Paradise enough! Stayed here for 5 nights and it felt like home. The location is stunning literally on a lake with a view of Lion's Rock. Chami and the family are super friendly and helpful, they even came with me on some day trips and made sure I was sorted with everything. And the food Absolutely delicious.If you're heading to Sigiriya, definitely book in here. You won't regret it.

Das Back of Beyond - Pidurangala liegt inmitten einer Naturlandschaft und bietet einen ruhigen Rückzugsort in Sigiriya. I loved the location, being far inside the wilderness. The boulder house we stayed in was very spacious and comfy and gave us an exceptional experience sleeping so close to nature. They had a private open shower in nature and provided hot water, which was amazing given that it was a bit chilly during our stay. The food was exceptionally tasty, and great service, and everyone was extremely welcoming and lovely and enthusiastic to show us around.
