I had a truly wonderful stay at Fern Hill Cabins. Located high on the hills above Ella, the property offers breathtaking mountain views that made every morning feel like a scene from a postcard. Despite being just 10 minutes' drive from Ella town, the cabins are tucked away in a peaceful and private setting, allowing for complete relaxation while still being conveniently close to restaurants, shops, and local attractions. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, always available to assist with anything I needed and full of great local recommendations. One of the highlights of my stay was the authentic Sri Lankan breakfast served each morning. Flavorful, fresh, and a real treat for anyone wanting to experience true local cuisine. If you're looking for a place that combines comfort, nature, warm hospitality, and convenience, Fern Hill Cabins is the perfect choice. I wouldn’t hesitate to return!

Exceptional view of 9 Arch Bridge offered by local family who go out of their way to make sure you are well looked after. Yes it’s a little way out of Ella but this means it’s much quieter than the hectic town centre. Plus the owner has a Tuk Tuk and will drop you off / pick you up whenever necessary for a fair price. Breakfast is served on your balcony including egg hoppers, coconut pancakes, fruit salad and freshly squeezed juice. Tea and coffee facilities are provided in the room. Currently only 1 room available so best to book now!

“Exceptionally attentive and helpful hosts. The accommodation is spacious and clean, with huge beds and a beautiful view. Breakfast is very generous and delicious. It’s a bit far from the town, and the road leading up to the guesthouse is difficult to access, but the hosts transported us every time with their own tuk-tuk. Highly recommended!”

We loved our stay at Ella Breeze Homestay and highly recommend it - it is about 20-25 minutes away from Ella center (by TukTuk), surrounded by beautiful nature, all quiet, peaceful and relaxing (we traveled with our own Tuk Tuk, which we could park at the homestay). The whole family was really nice and caring - we enjoyed different, nice breakfasts and also the optional homecooked dinner was absolutely great. We got so many tips from our host, including a self-drawn map to Ella Rock, so you can start your walk to Ella Rock directly from the homestay. We also loved the tea factory tour, which was really authentical and gave us deep insights into the world of tea and the manual work of tea production. You can watch the train go by a few times a day, which is also nice. Thanks for the good conversations, the helpful tips around the area and the great food :)

A charming retreat with an idyllic location among paddy fields. A fantastic host, and sensational meals prepared by a personal chef…the manager arranged for us a tuktuk to discover the hidden gems of Ella. We had a fantastic stay and would highly recommend this place.

Waking up to the most breathtaking view and having a wonderful breakfast served was such a treat. The atmosphere and surroundings off this place is unbeatable. The family has done a fantastic job with the terasse with recliner chairs and dinner table all to enjoy the view. We had dinner here every night - it was the best we have had so far on our trip. Wonderful and so helpful family. We will have to come back to Yolo again .

We had a great stay at arana. Very relaxing location in the tree tops with stunning views. Rooms were beautiful, great WiFi & included a safe. We did the cooking class, yoga and meditation class and all were great. Breakfast also great. Staff were lovely.

The views were absolutely amazing and so was our host!! She made us a delicious breakfast every morning, helped us plan our activities in Ella and even gave us an incredible cooking class, making some great Sri Lankan curries! And for such a good price!
