Ai-Ais National Park is 19 km from the lodge. So glad we booked the Roadhouse for two nights, exceeded our expectations in every sense.

Located 8 metres from the canyon edge, the chalets at Fish River Lodge include a terrace, large windows and dry stone walls. They have a private bathroom with free toiletries. Beds can be placed outdoors for sleeping al fresco. Very spacious and clean, lovely view, very friendly staff and amazing and knowledgeable guides.

Surrounded by natural African gardens, this eco-friendly lodge offers bright rooms with a terrace overlooking the Gurib River bed. It has an outdoor pool, limited Wi-Fi access , and nature drives can be arranged. This was an very nice lodge, off the beaten track in an interesting location. The host was exceptionally welcoming and friendly and the staff were extremely helpful. We had dinner and breakfast and the food and service was excellent. The buildings were full of interesting features. W could see game from the verandah.

Activities at the lodge include game drives, walking, bird watching and 4x4 trails. the hotel is fantastic in a very remote location. very nice landscape, super food and a nice swimming pool. the staff and managers are also very friendly. We did the lion tracking with Nelson. Very nice experience. Thx to you Nelson we will be back

Very interesting historical place (old railway station converted to hotel). Nice location- not too far from quiver tree forest. Good for sleepover before continuing to Luderitz or Fish river canyon. There is a fireplace in the dining area, so it was nice and warm. Very nice dinner and breakfest.
