The snow gear provided was of excellent quality, keeping us warm and allowing us to fully enjoy the stunning surroundings. The sauna was a cozy haven, perfect for relaxing after a day of exploring. One of the highlights of our trip was witnessing the Northern Lights for two consecutive nights—a breathtaking display we’ll never forget. Adding to the magic, we spotted two wild moose during our stay, a surreal moment that truly connected us to the untamed beauty of the area. A special thanks to Thomas, the owner, whose kindness and attention to detail made our experience even more memorable. He helped us find exciting activities and ensured we felt welcome every step of the way. The setting of the campsite is beyond words—raw, wild, and incredibly beautiful. For anyone looking to immerse themselves in nature and experience the wonders of the Arctic, this is the place to be. With mountain views, Aurora Fjord Cabins is set in Lyngseidet and has free WiFi.

All units come with a terrace with sea views, a kitchen with a fridge and a dishwasher, and a private bathroom with shower. An oven, a microwave and stovetop are also featured, as well as a coffee machine and a kettle. Everything is clean and very beautiful, nothing lacking in the cabin. Don’t want to leave! Saw auroras multiple nights right from the cabin, saw dolphins swimming by, saw an eagle fly by twice. Town is very convenient and close enough. Distillery is beautiful - definitely have the whisky sour! - and the people are very helpful and friendly. I’d love to come back.

The lodge features both WiFi and private parking free of charge. I had a wonderful stay at Norwegian Wild. The cabins were cozy and comfortable, with a beautiful view that made every morning special. Everything was spotless, and the attention to cleanliness was clear throughout the property. The food was also excellent and a highlight of the experience. But what truly made the difference for me were the people working there. They were super friendly, professional, and always willing to help. Their warmth and attentiveness gave my stay a huge plus and made me feel genuinely welcome. I can wholeheartedly recommend Norwegian Wild.. not only for the cabins, the view, and the food, but especially for the amazing team behind it.

Guests at Bjørnfjell Mountain Lodge can enjoy a buffet breakfast. We stayed at the hotel for a few days and were very pleased. The location is perfect — quiet, surrounded by forest and beautiful nature. Special thanks to the staff! Everyone was very friendly, attentive, and ready to help in any situation. You can really feel that they care about their guests. The room was clean and cozy, with everything we needed. We enjoyed both breakfast and especially dinner — everything was tasty and made with care. A great place for a peaceful getaway. We will definitely come back!

Staying at Holmen Husky is an experience far away from staying at an ordinary hotel. We want our guests to get closer to nature and to get a taste of what it is like to live close to the elements.

Holmen Husky is a small, family-run business who has been working with dogs since the 80s. Some of us have even grown up in the dogyard and on the sled. It is much more than an activity or an experience that has got us all addicted. it’s a feeling that must be experienced. We had an all around fantastic stay. Staff was really nice and proactive to make you feel at home. The included breakfast and the meals we ordered were delicious. Certainly a fantastic experience if you're looking for something other than the usual hotel room. And as luck has had it the weather allowed us to see a beautiful aurora right there and then.

10 km from Alta City and 500 metres from Alta River lies Trasti & Trine Boutique Hotel. Surrounded by forest, the location offers good hiking, skiing and biking trails straight from the cottage door. There is both free WiFi and free on-site parking. We stayed in the the Elva cabin which was delightful- cozy, comfortable, spacious and well thought out. the expansive windows gave us a relaxing view into the forest and the thrill of seeing dogs run by from time to time. Upstairs was a lovely nook. We ate every dinner on site (country style x2, fine dining x1) and the quality of food and service was exceptional. Really top notch. Johnny (Trasti) is highly visible and involved and really cares about his guests and makes everyone feel valued. Breakfast was great and lasted until 10, which allowed us to sleep in a bit. We also had pizza on Friday night and picked up things from the bakery on Saturday. the baked good were some of the best we’ve had. We loved our dog sledding as well- so much fun and incredibly lucky we got to go with Trine! What an experience! We wish we had booked another trip and also wished we had stayed longer. Huge perk as well was being able to visit the dogs throughout the day, even if not dog sledding. We will definitely be back. would recommend renting a car. taxis are very expensive and limited. It’s really easy to drive around and having a car gives you options to explore (like we did) things around the area.
