It was great to finish the Hump ridge track and stay here. Room was basic, quiet and comfortable. The people running the place are friendly Would stay again and recommend to anyone doing the south track or hump ridge to stay a night either before or after to help rest before they journey off again. They are doing upgrades to the place slowly so in years to come this place will be even better.

A luxury stay experience at the edge of the breathtakingly beautiful New Zealand Fiordland. The Lodge sits in a stunning rural setting, with sweeping views across beautiful Lake Manapouri to the snow-capped peaks beyond. Our hosts Breidi and Brad made us feel very welcome and at home. Gourmet dinner and breakfast included in the stay were outstanding, and upon request our hosts arranged a delicious picnic for us to take on our day cruise to Doubtful Sound. Our room was spacious and comfortable, and many thoughtful details enhanced our stay. Highlights for us included an afternoon relaxing in the Library in front of a crackling fire, and chatting to other Lodge guests in the lounge over pre-dinner drinks and canapes.

Set within a World Heritage Site in New Zealand, Fiordland Lodge overlooks views of Lake Te Anau and the surrounding mountains. It offers a restaurant, free Wi-Fi and free parking.

On our 6 weeks NZL Trip High Leys Lodge will loom large as the best place we were lucky enough to stay in. And we stayed in some wonderful places! The location, facilities and provisions were second to none. To top it off, the welcome and service from Sarah was next level. We felt that she knew all our wishes before !could be our best mate... ! TeAnau itself is a stunning location - and sadly, we only had three nights there - but it was the hospitality of John and Sarah that has made us resolute that we will return... even though we are from Germany a good nearly 24 hours away via a couple of flights and a drive! But this place is that special to come back - just because I totally forgot to tune the guitar 🎸
