The selling point is certainly the view! The lodge is nestled on a hill and you can see Machu Picchu from a distance. The room was clean and comfortable but very basic. We had a nice area to sit outside and watch the sunset. There was a crazy intense storm that evening and it was an unforgettable and amazing show to watch from the cabin! I was very impressed with dinner, especially since it was just a father and son (I think?) running the lodge and restaurant and they covered dinner for over 20 people. It was a little late to come out, but it was the best meal I had during our Salkantay trek. Hats off to you!

At night, you can sit outside wrapped in a blanket and stargaze — an unforgettable moment. + In the morning, we enjoyed another great meal for breakfast before ziplining down — the perfect ending to an already epic adventure. We were lucky to have an amazing team — Diego, Irbin, and Fabian — who made the whole experience even more special with their positivity and support!

The host prepared a very rich and fresh breakfast tailored to individual preferences. The host was also helpful in organising activities in the area and gave some tips. Casafranca was by far the best accommodation of my entire trip through Peru. Highly recommended.
