Some units include a balcony and/or a patio. Staying at the Hacienda Herrera Tambopata was the shining star of our visit to Peru. Everything about it was a delight. The staff, food, surrounding landscape, tour offerings, the room...we loved every minute of our stay.

This lodge exceeded our expectations. Amazing meals. Beautiful wild setting. Clean, spacious, comfortable rooms. Excellent guided tours (our guide Uriel was magnificent and fabulous at spotting wildlife.) The boat trips along the rivers were surreal, especially the morning breakfast boat out to see the wild parrots on the clay licks. The pickup and luggage storage services were added bonuses. This definitely requires a three night stay (which we did) 4 nights would have been out of this world.

Expeditions organised by the lodge are various and with excellent guide (Moses). The swimming pool is a plus. Cook is great. Bungalows are very confortable. We highly recommend !

Located only 3.5 hours from Puerto Maldonado city. (One hour by bus and 2.5 hrs by boat) This lodge is the only one inside the National Reserve of Tambopata.

Altogether the best experience we could have had in the Amazon. Not cheap but this was a once in a lifetime experience and worth every penny. Slept better here than ever before.

The lodge features both WiFi and private parking free of charge. Excellent location right on the Rio Tambopata. All meals and numerous activities included. Located right next to the Amazon Shelter for Animal and Environmental Protection, which you can visit for a small donation and receive a guided tour. Very friendly and family-like atmosphere.
