Awesome place to stay - great location next to the sea, great view on Mount Pico on the one side and Faial island on the other side. It is family run and the hosts are super welcoming and helpful. They helped us organise a night hike up the mountain and even prepared us with food to go. Also very helpful with recommendations for restaurants and activities in the area. The complimentary breakfast was fresh and tasty every day. We would come back and highly recommend this pace if you intend to stay on Pico / in Madalena

At the lodge guests are welcome to take advantage of a hot tub. The views out over the valley here are spectacular. So peaceful! We saw sun, rain, fog, and a rainbow. The room we stayed in was small, but comfortable, and the outside areas are a fun place to gather for either quiet time, or conversations with other travelers. The parking lot is small, but a rare thing around here, so we were thankful to have parking! This location was convenient to exploring waterfalls nearby, the thermal baths in Furnas, and the quaint town of Povoação.
