The lodge features a terrace. We had a great stay at Nungwi Roses, the hotel itself is wonderful on the eyes, very well decorated, a lot of plants all around to really give it a tropical feel. It’s right off the main road as well. Room was clean, had really cool design features, comfortable and a strong aircon. It felt like being in a quiet private villa (that’s pink). Owners are very nice, welcoming and helpful. Great for pictures by the pool as well!

Joyce and staff were exceptional hosts and couldn't do enough to ensure our stay was enjoyable. Matemwe Beach is tidal (kids loved the pool at these times) and much quieter than other more touristy beaches, and was just what we were after.

Some rooms have a private swimming pool. Zanbluu Hotel was absolutely incredible! From the moment I arrived, I felt completely at ease. As a first-time solo traveler, I couldn’t have chosen a better place to stay. The hotel itself is stunning, with breathtaking ocean views and a peaceful, intimate atmosphere that made it feel like my own little paradise. The food was exceptional—every single meal was a delight. From fresh, flavorful breakfasts to the most delicious dinners, everything was prepared with so much care and attention to detail. I looked forward to every meal because I knew it would be amazing. My room was perfection—spacious, beautifully designed, and so comfortable. Waking up to the sound of the ocean and having my own private space to relax made the experience even more special. But what truly made my stay unforgettable was the staff. Every person I encountered was warm, welcoming, and went out of their way to ensure I had the best experience. Their kindness and hospitality made me feel at home. This trip was a huge step for me as a solo traveler, and staying at Zanbluu made it one of the best experiences of my life. I left feeling so happy, refreshed, and already thinking about when I can come back!
