Port Elizabeth is 35 km from Charihandra Game Lodge, whereas Addo is 19.4 km away. We ended our trip on the Garden Route (and in South Africa) by spending a few days at Charihandra. It was a very wise choice, as we had the best moments of our stay there! A big thank you to the entire team who took great care of us to ensure everything was perfect. I highly recommend enjoying the private safaris in Addo, where you are accompanied by wildlife experts, as well as the safari on the property to meet the giraffes. I highly recommend this establishment.

The Silver Thorns Restaurant at the main lodge serves contemporary and culinary cuisine. Room service and special diet menus can be requested. Drinks and snacks can be enjoyed at the bar. We stayed at Lodge for 3 nights at the end of November, chosing the "All Inclusive" package. It was the best adventure and the best place we stayed during our trip through South Africa. Leo, our tour guide, has showed, explained and I jetted into us the wholesome approach to safari. You could feel like a carefree child that went on adventure to discover. We wish every tour guide could show to its guests such an excepcional respect towards the animals. Leo transforms such kindness, that at the end of the day you feel extremely rewarded by seeing every little living on safari, inuding birds, elephants, monkeys - all living wild and free. In the breaks, we could learn so much by having just a casual conversation with him. We really felt like being invited to magnificent kingdom of the animals, without feeling like some random intruders. A beating heart of this place is Debbie: what an outstanding manger. You "don't see her, don't hear her", but she is there and she keeps and eye on everything, ensuring such a comfortable stay for the guests. Debbie just transmits calmness, kindness, warmth, and professionalism. It was a real pleasure know her. The amazing Crew of the Lodge gives you a total family vibe. They winked an eye at us every time they left us a nice surprise in the form of flower petals or chocolates. Everything from warm towels to wipe our hands, through tasty meals (delicious soups!), was full of kindness and joy of hosting us. From warm welcome to a family-like farewell (followed by messages to check our further progress on the road) - everything was such a beautiful sign of being human that I came back completely refreshed. Enjoy every second of staying at the Lodge. Go out on adventure. Admire the nature with the respect and curiosity of an explorer. Feel fresh air on your face. Eat boldly and healthily. The lodge offers game drives through Addo National Park, game walks on the property and guided sundowner walks. We had a wonderful stay at this hotel! We chose the tent accommodation and it was an amazing experience, living in the middle of the forest on a mountain, yet in a very comfortable and beautifully arranged tent. The room was decorated with great attention to detail, and every evening the staff brought us hot water bottles for the bed, which was such a thoughtful touch. The hotel's restaurant is excellent, both the food and the service were outstanding. We truly enjoyed every moment of our stay and would definitely recommend this place!

Chrislin African Lodge is a peaceful site with outdoor lounge areas, gardens, and a citrus farm. Guests can enjoy South African recipes in onsite dining lapa.

Each spacious hut at Chrislin Lodge comes with private bathroom facilities, a fridge and a ceiling fan. Larger huts also come with air conditioning and a seating area. We had a lovely time at Chrislin. The bed was comfy and the water hot. It did get a little chilly in the room but there was a small heater provided which was appreciated. The grounds were really lovely, and the food was great. Nice and close to the addo main gate for our drive home after night safari.

The Lodge is situated on a private game reserve, which boasts over 17 species of wild game animals, including a large family of giraffes. Safaris and day trips can be arranged.

Valley Bushveld Country Lodge serves authentic South African cuisine. During cold winter evenings, guests can enjoy a drink in the lounge with a huge fireplace. Felt like a home from home, super friendly - excellent service. The whole place is spotless with fabulous decor - tasty dinners! Biggest twin room I have seen on my travels. The giraffe evening walk is a must do - just superb - up very close to giraffe and zebra and they visited our lodge the next morning right outside Vanessa, Kerneels and family care passionately about their animals which is very evident - thank you for a wonderful stay!
