The Abendruhe Lodge is a short drive from the Dinokeng Gate. It feels very private and peaceful. Beautiful views from the balcony, with many animals around. The lodge is clean, beds are comfortable and has everything you will need.
Thank you to the owners for showing us around the property. We had a wonderful game drive with Günter, he is very knowledgeable and he gave us the best experience to explore the Dinokeng Game Reserve.

I have been to quite a few lodges around Gauteng but this one stood out of them all, from a family entertainment perspective. There is quite a lot things that can keep the kids entertained while the parents are relaxing. The pool area and the huge playground is very well maintained. Before going here I saw everyone commending the food and the restaurant, that did not disappoint, the food and drinks options were very good.

The staff was friendly, communication with lodge from the day I booked it was amazing, the bush lunch (starter and main) was amazing with view of the animals. The quietness of the place, we really needed that. The route to the lodge is easy. The food and drinks are reasonable.
Upon our arrival, we were guided to our rooms where we seamlessly settled in. The staff warmly welcomed us, and our stay included a delightful breakfast with generous portions, earning a perfect 10/10 rating for the exceptional food. The atmosphere was serene and thoroughly enjoyable, providing both privacy and personal space. The rooms were meticulously cleaned every day, and additional towels and toiletries were promptly supplied upon request. I extend my gratitude to Foundry Guest Lodge for curating such a remarkable experience.

The staff was extremely helpful and friendly as well. The room was cosy and peaceful and worth the money paid. The breakfast was okay, there's room for more improvement and dinner was also just okay. Overall, we had a beautiful and comfortable stay at the Lodge.
Staff was very friendly and always happy to help. The breakfast was great we really enjoyed it.
It felt like home away from home. I would go back to Shefe Lodge anytime.
