This family-run 4-star hotel is right next to the cable car in Alpendorf. It features an indoor pool, a spa area with sauna, steam bath and sanarium, and a lobby with an open fireplace.

I recently stayed at this hotel and was thoroughly impressed by the exceptional amenities and services provided. The indoor pool was a delightful escape, allowing for a relaxing swim regardless of the weather outside. The gym was well-equipped, catering to all my fitness needs, and the media room was a great space to unwind and enjoy some entertainment. The breakfast and dinner offerings were truly exceptional. Each meal was delicious, featuring a wide variety of options that catered to different tastes and dietary needs. The quality and presentation of the food exceeded my expectations every time. What really stood out to me, however, was the staff. Every member of the personnel was extremely nice, kind, and helpful. Their genuine hospitality made my stay even more enjoyable and comfortable. Great hotel with friendly and helpful staff. Location in a mountaine close to amazing nature - allowing to relax, meditation and star gazing. Warm and relaxing swimming pool, slopes for skiing right next to the hotel, beauty procedures in Hotel Spa, good restaurant with a variety of menu - everything for pleasant stay and effective rest. But the most valuable for us was the family atmosphere and smiling, friendly staff. We will definitely try to repeat our experience here next season.

The hotel is just amazing. Claudia the owner was so incredibly sweet and attentive. We felt so welcome at well taken care of. The breakfast was fantastic. The pool beautyful and the room big and spacious. We cannot praise the hotel enough!

Great facilities and wonderful staff. It hardly gets better than this! You really get the feeling that the staff really cares about your stay. They remembered my choices for breakfast, tried to figure out our wine preferences based on initial choices, knew when to offer their services and when not to. Can't recommend this establishment enough!

We had a great skiing vacation here in Bad Gastein despite the lack of fresh snow and extremely warm weather. Special thanks to Alex Hinterberger - she made our stay in Das Schider exceptional, and she was so hospitable and friendly. Thanks, Alex! Hope to meet you again. In general, this hotel has everything you need. Superb idea for the breakfast, the staff was taking every minute care about the order of breakfast stuff, etc. The sauna with a superb mountain view and the terrace - this is the best you need to rejuvenate your batteries after skiing. The Hotel is located in a very quiet area, 10 min walking distance to the city center with restaurants and a famous waterfall, which is just fabulous! Special thanks from my daughter to 2 kitties - they are so friendly and cute.
