There are a whole host of reasons to love this place, but I will focus on just a few..... The service, heartfelt, proactive, constant yet unobtrusive. Staff go out of their way to help you, to guide you, arranging all the visits you are hoping to make, calling tuk tuks, dealing with your onward journey, and all at a fair price too. The restaurant, top quality food and service. First class breakfasts, including Sri Lankan. The setting. You are bordering marshland at the foot of 2 extraordinary rocks. Wildlife everywhere, below the rocks or from the rocks, is it Jurassic Park, Indiana Jones, or The Lord of the Rings? The excursions possible, apart from Lion's Rock from the hotel we visited Polonaruwa, Ritigala, and we went on a great elephant safari. All in all, one of the best places we have ever been to!

We stayed there for a night and booked this location due to wonderful comments about its owner and location. And it is absolutely true. It is a small yet lovely hotel and also just 5 mins tuk tuk ride from the Sigiriya Rocks. Also very easily accessible to city center and restaurants. The owner is a fine gentleman and really friendly. We forgot our two bags and realised after we got call from hotel and we were around 20 kms away. The owner sent the bags via tuk tuk and did not accept cash for this extra effort done by them. We were really grateful to them.

It was a great experience at Sky forest. Loved everything about the stay. It's amazing how the architecture of the cabanas and tree house blends with nature seamlessly. The caretaker is friendly and professional. Attentive to our needs immediately. Rooms are clean and comfortable. Clean and spacious washroom. The food was great. I would like to recommend this place to anyone who is looking to stay calmly and peacefully escape from the busy lifestyle. We had an amazing stay in the Seerock hotel. Lio and his whole team did everything to help us during our stay. We even booked 2 nights extra while we were there 😊. Very clean rooms, most comfortable bed, big pool, large domain which is well kept by the gardeners and nice restaurant. Breakfast was also very good. We booked an excursion to Polonnaruwa and Kaudulla National park with them and also a visit to the Dambulla temples, would recommend!

It was very pretty and the rooms were spacious and nicely designed. The dining hall was cozy and the pool was great as well. Location was perfect as it was close to everything we wanted to do.
