The place was much bigger than expected and spacious. Great for us travellers with large luggages. Clean apartment with a good variety and quality of amenities provided. Check in was seamless - Michelle even let us drop our bags when we reached way before the check in time, and let us check in early so we could get to explore the rest of the town. Love the way the door is locked - so fuss free!! Facilities were good, there’s washing machine, induction stove with pots and pans, kitchenware and complimentary Nespresso capsules and coffee and tea. I also love their hot chocolate!!! (bloom) ☕️ Love that there is a backyard area which we can sun/dry off our clothes with the drying rack in the room. There’s also hair dryer, sufficient hangers, iron and ironing board and TV with YouTube connection. Parking space was very sufficient, great porch and quite near the beach (walking distance to the hot water beach and also to shops, restaurants and supermarkets) Overall great experience and would highly recommend this place to couples and families looking to stay in Taupo. Beautifully designed and furnished, all the little details thought of. Like a holiday within a holiday! The spa was perfect and the garden lovely. Even though the main house is located just over the garden, we felt we had complete privacy and comfort.

We had a ground floor studio unit, it was very large and roomy, dining table, lounge chairs and coffee table still ample room. location was good, although not close enough to walk to town, but was excellent location for relaxingby the lake and biking, right on the lakefront. Pool was tepid, still cool.

The communication from the owner was very welcoming. The view from the cabin was incredible. There were so many nice touches in the cabin ( bottle of prosecco in the fridge, some chocolates, robes and slippers). One of the nicest places we have ever stayed.

Hilltop is such a special place that our family really enjoyed our 2 night stay there at the Two bedroom apartments. From the unit you will be overseeing the farm lands and endless hills, while walking to the front you will be overseeing the gorgeous lake Taupo. Amazing view! We spent hours just at the garden field playing with the three very friendly dogs, enjoying the sun and fresh air, the kids loves it! Peter and Michelle are super friendly hosts. They showed around the farm in the morning, took us on a tour to feed the deers, the kids even picked up fresh eggs that we had for the next morning! They made fresh bread for us in the morning and it was delicious. It’s just a short drive from town, and close to Huka Falls, Craters of Moon. Do visit Whakaipo Bay and L'arté Cafe & Gallery if you stay as well. It was the highlight for our trip with wonderful memory. Can’t wait to go back again!
