The spa facilities include an all-year outdoor pool with countercurrent system, a panoramic acacia sauna and deluxe sanarium (both with coloured lighting), an ice fountain, and a relaxation lounge with water beds. A solarium is available for a surcharge. Break was amazing. Scrambled eggs, sausages, baked bacon, cheese, salmon, etc. You could even order an omelette or pancakes. Even champagne was there so you can choose either coffee or champagne :)))

Very kind staff, excellent half board, very good location. They offer bikes for rent which is a great service and very convenient. Also summer card was provided which can be used for the lifts that take you (and the bikes) to the Asitz top station.

Family-run since 1654, Hotel-Gasthof Maria Plain enjoys a quiet location surrounded by meadows and forests, only 250 metres from the pilgrimage church of Maria Plain and a 10-minute drive from Salzburg. Free WiFi is available. The property and views are stunning. Our room was so cute and the pictures do not do it justice! Large room with beautiful windows that open, lovely restaurant and the grounds are wonderful for taking walks. Just below the property (about a 12 minute walk down the hill) is a little restaurant that had delicious soup and yummy coffee and croissants. A field next to it was filled with sheep and horses and a friendly cat. Breakfast was out of this world…The whole trip was magical for my daughter and I!

Guests benefit from a modern spa area and a traditional restaurant. Pleasant, knowledgeable staff, wonderful breakfast, comfortable room with private bath, idyllic country views, several types of sauna and an outdoor pool included in the fee, e-bikes available for rent-- all added up to a top notch experience. I e-biked to a lake and explored the surrounding area on 1 day, and e-biked to Salzburg on a different day. There's a conveniently located bus stop for a bus every 30 min (except Sun) if you prefer public transportation. I found the public bus was similar quality to a US excursion bus and safe late at night. There's a free app that is worth downloading.

I would definitely come back and recommend the hotel. All in all a very pleasant stay at a beautiful location. The location of the hotel is also great - very close to hiking routes and spa.
