It creates a great experience and you have the river sound. If you are not used to that sound it is really relaxing. The hotel has a green house where you can buy and see plants. They are lovely. The trails are very nice. Be mindful that to reach the entrance you need to walk 1.5 Km. La Quebrada is a trail that you can walk with small children. No wheel chair nor prawn/stroller. Los Pioneros is a short and flat trail. Suitable for elderly persons. We traveled with one and was the perfect walk. The food was delicious. The breakfast is a buffet with plenty of options and very tasty.

We had our own cosy lodge. The staff is very friendly and helpful. As it can be a bit cold at night, we even had hot-water bottles. There is also a heater. In the spacious area of the Trogon Lodge, there is very much to see, for example different species of plants and animals like humming birds, lizards and even Quatzals. The lodge does also offer a shorter and a longer exciting hiking track in the cloud forest. We booked a Quetzal watching tour in the morning and really saw about 5 Quetzals.
