Set in Vega de Espinareda, 42 km from Las Médulas Roman Mines, Hotel Rural Casa Ana offers accommodation with free bikes, free private parking, a garden and a shared lounge. This 4-star hotel offers room service and a tour desk. The hotel has a terrace and mountain views, and guests can enjoy a meal at the restaurant or a drink at the bar. Stopped here with a friend as we tour on motorbike. Host had no English but translated using her phone which was appreciated. Allowed us park our bikes out back with cover. Place was immaculate and the owner cooked us an amazing breakfast. Genuine host and place was charming and nice to get away from busier places for a night.

The owners speak English and so so friendly! The room was lovely too... the owner said his wife gave him one room to decorate and ours was it! He did a superb job 👏 It's close to a little supermarket nearby. If u want to eat in the restaurant here, you need to book early as it's only small. We missed out, but that's ok because it's an all meat menu and we vego!!

The location is superb, right by the river which has a beautiful bridge and a designated swimming area. There was a bowl to soak my hot feet and a fan. The check in was quick and helpful information about where to eat and location of the shop was given. Plenty of places to eat nearby and the carpark is not very far away either. Would definitely go back

The hosts are beautiful people, could not do enough to help. The facilities are great, the town is amazing and the food was outstanding!

I am now finished the full Camino and this has been the best stay of my 33 night journey. Juan is amazing. So welcoming and even carried my bag to my comfortable single bed. Such a luxury not to have a bunk bed here. Clean sheets included. So nice. So clean. Hotel like quality . The dinner was also amazing and not like a hostel or typical pilgrim dinner. Thank you Juan. Keep up the good work and thanks for being the best host on my journey in a lovely town. I want to rate this 11.0 out of 10 :)

Superb room with spa bath. Once you ask reception to activate the bath you can soak sore feet and muscles from walking the Camino. The location was on the Camino and a stones throw from the castle and plaza. There is so much to see and do in Ponferrada and you are spoilt for choice for places to eat and drink. We took a walk into the centre and had a Chinese meal. Wonderful place to stay, just a shame we only had one night as up early for Camino the next day. We would recommend staying for more if you have the time.

Excelente service all around, totally worth it, 5 starts rating for their staff and their chef!!!! Manuel in the restaurant make our evening fantastic with his outstanding service and knowledge of the industry. Ponferrada Plaza is about of this world !!!! We loved our time there!!!
