Upon check-in, we were pleasantly surprised with a free upgrade to a deluxe room. The room had been recently renovated - it was modern, spotless, and very comfortable. The beds were incredibly comfortable, and everything was so clean and well-maintained. We also received coupons for complimentary welcome prosecco, which was a lovely touch. The room had a stunning view over the town, which made our stay even more special. Despite the large number of tourists in Sorrento, the hotel felt very calm and quiet - perfect for relaxing after a day of exploring. The staff were extremely polite and welcoming, always ready to help with a smile. Breakfast was excellent, with a big variety of food and drinks to choose from. The location is amazing - just a short walk from Sorrento’s main attractions, and very close to the central station. It’s super convenient for catching a bus to the airport, Amalfi, or Positano, and for taking a train to Naples. Highly recommended!

My stay at The Gio Hotel was amazing. Mr. Gio welcomed us so warmly and made sure we were comfortable throughout our stay. The hotel is new, spotless, and super cozy, we had a room with the best view! He also gave us great restaurant recommendations and tips on places to explore. Both he and the cook made sure we had halal options for breakfast, which we truly appreciated. The ladies working there were so sweet and kind to us, and the terrace area was beautiful. The hotel’s location is perfect, just a 2-minute walk from Piano di Sorrento train station. I’d definitely stay here again if I visit! And a bonus point! The bathroom has a shattafa, which was really hard to find elsewhere!
