I was welcomes by the staff as soon as I passed the door and they were the nicest. From randomly upgrading my room, to offering a free drink in the accomodation's bar upon arrival, to offering me a mandarine at dinner. Truly the nicest people. The accomodation is in a walkable distance to the pier, and right in front of the beach. The wood interiors are super cozy and the view from the windows is breathtaking. In an island with no convenience stores and few restaurants, they have just enough options at the cafe to grab a meal. Also has a lovely terrace with a view to the sea.

Both dinner and breakfast were very tastefully presented and the variety was generous including local produce. The yukatas came in different colors and patterns, one could pick without having to pay extra,where other places would have charge 500yen. There were welcome drinks and snacks. Popsicles after onsen. Onsen had indoor , outdoor, hot, cold, lying, sitting, plus sauna. Massage chairs were also free for enjoyment. The location could not be better if you want to walk up to the Kotohiragu. There were lots of shops and eateries along the route.

The staff was very friendly and helpful. We had a room with beautiful view to green mountains it was very nice. The room had big and comfortable bed. We could leave the window opened for the night so fresh forest air come in. The bathroom and the toilet were well equipped and luxury. I highly recommend to reserve for a dinner, it was very delicious and contained wide range of fresh Japanese ingredients. The breakfast was also fine. The onsen is located at a peaceful place in the forest looking to a spring and a small waterfall. We reserved a private bath, it was great too. It was a pleasant stay 😊

Perfect location less than a minute from the stairs to the shrine. Only a 10 minute walk to the train. Loads of shops line the stairs. The hotel itself was exceptional: staff, facilities, onsen, restaurant, room - all were absolutely top notch. One of our best stays in Japan!
