Novotel Nara is an excellent hotel. They gave me a great room on the 7th floor with a huge bed and nice bathroom and other facilities. The hotel is located near the conference center where I went every day so this was a bonus. The breakfast was a nice mix of Japanese and western delicacies. However, I only tried it once so I can't say much more.

Staff were friendly and went out of their way to help. We had a beautiful room with partial temple view and private bath. Very spacious (around 55 sq m). Everything felt new and renovated. Clean with all modern amenities. Had parking. Quiet.

Everything was clean and comfortable from the sofa to the bedding, to the bath area and towels. Located in quaint Murou, Murou-ji temple is only a few minutes walk away. It is also within walking distance of Murou Art Forest. Both are must-sees. Parking is available but requires a reservation so be sure to contact the proprietor. After each day of sightseeing around the area, I looked forward to returning to my room and enjoying the cleanliness and comfort. If you are looking for a quiet, comfortable stay away from the city, look no further!
