The hotel seems brand new, and the rooms are nicely set up with tatami mats and comfortable beds. Just like in a ryokan, you leave your shoes at the entrance. This gives the hotel a very cozy feel despite its size. The staff is extraordinary. I never had to wait to talk to a staff member and they were very helpful. The onsen is one of the best I experienced in larger hotels like this. It is a very nice oasis to come back to after a long day. I particularly liked that they also have a sauna. The location is ideal. There are lots of restaurants and bars literally right outside the hotel, the lake and the castle are both just a short stroll away. If I come back to Matsue, I will stay here again for sure.

Sehr freundliches und hilfsbereites Personal. Die Angestellten haben sich sehr bemüht mir auf Englisch weiterzuhelfen und das Essen war phänomenal. Die gesamte Onsen Anlage steht nur den Hotelgästen zur Verfügung, weshalb es hier auch angenehm ruhig war. Die Nähe zum Izumo Taisha ist ebenfalls super.

My wife and I absolutely loved our stay at RITA Izumo Hirata. The property is managed by a lovely and kind husband and wife team who did everything to make our stay memorable. The included high quality Japanese breakfast was both fresh and delicious. Make sure to take up the Italian dinner option in a local restaurant. It was one of the best meals of our holiday!

Lage direkt am Burggraben, Burg: Lafcadio Hearn Haus und Samurai-Residenz in direkter Gehweite. Japanisches Haus mit Tatami-Matten etc. Zusätzlich zu Futons sind auch Matratzen vorhanden. Die Gastgeber waren sehr nett - und kochten ausgezeichnet - nur für uns, da wir ja das ganze Haus hatte. Spitzengastronomie. Wir wurden auch am Bahnhof (ca. 2 km) abgeholt und zurückgebracht. Wir waren zu zweit in einem Haus, in dem bis zu 10 Personen unterkommen können. (mit Aufpreis). Wir waren einfach zufrieden, auch wenn die Unterkunft damit nicht sehr "kostengünstig" war. Aber das Essen und die Atmosphäre waren es wert.

Our room was fantastic, with a large sitting area, separate sleeping area with comfortable beds and private outdoor onsen. Staff were uniformly friendly, helpful and polite. Our meals were excellent and very filling. Each large window in our room looked out on different areas of an impeccably designed garden. We are already planning our next visit.
