Rooms are individually decorated with antique furniture. Each is equipped with air conditioning and a flat-screen TV with satellite channels. The marble bathrooms come with bathtubs or showers. Some rooms feature a balcony. Ever since seeing pictures I've wanted to stay at this convent hotel and it was even better than I expected. If you stay you can explore the property freely, and there is so much to see. Annex room was decent enough but I'd stay in the convent itself next time. Enjoyed the adults-only pool and were able to order G&Ts delivered. Breakfast was also very nice. Walked one of the trails (6km) around the property. The on-site restaurant is very pretty and the food is quite good, though the restaurants in the nearest village are better.

Some rooms have a private terrace. The staff were amazing, the breakfast was fantastic! The spa, pool etc. were so clean and we appreciated how quiet it was while taking a hot jacuzzi.

It's perfect for families, especially if you have pets and want to stay a mile or two outside of the city. We had a very comfortable two bedroom with several patios. The pool is heated and provides a perfect space to spend an afternoon. Our dog, Maddi, was welcomed and able to go everywhere, which is such a rarity for hotels in Portugal. Breakfast was consistently delicious during our stay. My husband had the pork cheeks for dinner via room service and was very impressed! Thank you to the owners for creating such a lovely space for us to stay.
