A great place to stay for short-term or a bit longer. Spent 2 nights with my husband here and it was absolutely great. The room is small but enough: there's a dining table for two, fridge and micro, desk with office chair, a big and high bed and a surprisingly big bathroom. Everything was tidy and clean. There's shower gel and shampoo in the shower, hand wash and lotion at the sink. Coffee machine with Starbucks coffee selection. You can park directly in front of your room. Everything is in reachable far, easy drive with car. There're 7eleven and other facilities nearby. I really recommend this place.

This accommodation is amazing. Sadly, we only stayed for 1 night as a stop off on road trip from San Francisco back to LA, but honestly, we'd wish we'd had a week. Didn't get to see local sights, but will definitely be back to El Castell soon ?? Rooms were so spacious, we had a family of 1 child and 3 adult children and 2 adults in one room !! This motel mega out shone the central San Francisco accommodation we had for 4 nights.

IT Was Terrible to receive a phone call from the hotel letting me know that my reservation was canceled and I had to scramble at midnight to find a terrible motel 30 minutes away from Monterey at a higher price because you overbooked and according to the guy that called, my reservation should not have been made!

The lady at Reception was really friendly and helpful. The rooms were a decent size, particularly the twin room with a coffee machine which was very welcome. The rooms were clean and tidy although they could do with replacing some cracked tiles. The location is on a main road with places to eat nearby and just a short drive to the beach. There was plenty of free parking. We didn't have time to use the pool but it looked nice. The motel felt safe with a pretty exterior. We had a really pleasant stay here.
