Located in the leafy suburb of Birkenhead on Auckland's North Shore district, FERNZ Motel & Apartments Birkenhead offers accommodation within a 15-minute drive from Auckland CBD. In a cute little neighbourhood with lots of restaurants, cafés, a supermarket and more all within walking distance. We had a car, so getting around was easy; most places in the city like the CBD, Parnell, Takapuna Beach and Albany were about 10–40 minutes away (even with traffic jam). The place had heaps of amenities too: dishwasher, oven, induction stove, microwave, washing machine, dryer, etc. Really felt like a little home away from home. The bathroom floor and towel rack were heated, which was a nice touch, and the water pressure was pretty great. Everything was super clean! The A/C worked well, and the view was great! The air was so fresh and clean.

Free Wi-Fi and free car park (limited spaces, based on first in, no reserves) are on offer at Alexander Inn. Each room has a kitchenette or full kitchen with microwave, refrigerator and tea/coffee making facilities. Lovely place to stay, beds very comfortable and room was massive. I had an amazing stay at this lovely little hotel/apartment in Auckland. It’s small, cozy, and exceptionally clean, everything felt fresh and spotless. The place has a warm, homey vibe that made me feel very comfortable from the start. The host was incredibly friendly, and the girl at the front desk gave such a warm and welcoming greeting. Even though it feels more like a motel or apartment complex than a hotel, the overall experience was fantastic. It’s located very close to a mall, which was super convenient, and there were enough parking spots available. Honestly, I can’t think of anything I didn’t like. I would absolutely come back if I’m ever in Auckland again. Highly recommended!

At Orewa Beachcomber all our units are beautifully presented with touches of home and we cater for private or corporate guests. All rooms come with cooking facilities, their own bathrooms, lounge, dining tables and chairs (which can be utilised as a workstation, meeting table etc if required) unlimited WIFI, Sky TV and a guest laundry on-site. I absolutely loved my stay! My room was incredibly spacious, and the bed was unbelievably comfortable. The highlight for me was the large, relaxing tub—perfect for unwinding with a glass of wine. The shower was fantastic, with amazing water pressure that made washing my hair a breeze. The small kitchen was a great bonus, equipped with plenty of extras to make my stay even more convenient. The location was lovely—just a short walk to plenty of shops and restaurants, plus you can catch a cool ocean breeze directly across the street. Check in was beyond easy and everyone was extremely kind. Would definitely stay here again.

Just 50 metres walk from the weekly village markets, guests enjoy a swimming pool, BBQ facilities and a children’s playground at Matakana Motel. All accommodation offers a satellite flat-screen TV, a microwave and a fridge. Matakana Motel was one of the nicest motels we have ever stayed in..
