The neighborhood itself is quiet and pleasant. Since it's not a bustling city, we were worried about where to eat, but the owner kindly explained the neighborhood to us, and we werer able to enjoy a delicious pizza. The convenience store closes early, so make sure to stock up on water and other supplies beforehand.

10/10 for absolutely everything! First things first, Denis, our host was absolutely fantastic and accommodating for us to check in late so we can enjoy the lovely weather. He also gave us really good trail recommendations since our plans to do the Crossing have been cancelled. The room itself was big, clean, comfortable with a huge bed and new facilities in the bathroom and kitchen. The shower was a delight! And to top everything, there is a hot tub to enjoy after a long day of hiking. Best place in NZ so far.

This was the nicest motel anywhere we have ever stayed in. The rooms were a much higher level than you usually find in a motel. They were larger than expected and easily fit a family of four plus significant luggage with room to move. The beds were very comfortable and the double spa bath was AMAZING, we all had a lovely soak in it. The staff were lovely and helped us with washing facilities, and overall it was a very comfortable and pleasant stay, happy to recommend.
