The breakfast was excellent and included a wide range of foods. Something for everyone. Freshly brewed coffee and tea, served café style by the kind owner in a cosy homelike environment. Already looking forward to coming back for a visit next year.

Great room - large with traditional period furniture and view down the valley. Powerful and hot shower. Food was great. The hotel is located close enough to the lift to walk (ski equipment left in locker by lift). The walk is interesting as there are little cafes and shops on route and the views are amazing. There is also a mini bus which runs to and from the lift, which we tended to catch in the morning but we enjoyed the walk back every afternoon. Google Maps suggests the walk takes 33 minutes but it's more like 20 minutes, although some steep uphill bits on the way there.

Close to both Bad Gastein Railway Station and Bad Gastein Waterfall, CHALET Sophie & Max in Bad Gastein is situated in Bad Gastein and has a hot tub and garden.

The location was great. The view was fantastic and the house had everything you need for your vacations. Small details will make the property excellent.
