There was a great small onsen right around the corner, the shower was great, we loved the capsule beds. I could have used a little thicker mats, but really nice. The staff was amazing.

I just have to say wow . The property and amenities makes you jump into a cultural experience of what is an elevated Japanese onsen, It may not be for everyone but give this place a try. Just be patient with the language barrier ; bring a poker translator and also be mindful of others and their customs (there a lot of locals who go here). My suggestion is , don’t stay for more than 2 days because you’re very isolated.

We visited the LOQUAT villa in May 2025. - A+ service from all of the staff from booking until checkout (shoutout to Amy). - Delicious food - Stunning views and gorgeous property (we stayed at the villa), beautiful location. All of the staff were prompt, polite, and helpful. Amy Akari (sp?) was our host throughout the stay and was incredible, and extremely patient with us speaking very little Japanese. She made sure we had everything we needed from check-in to check-out and we were not left wanting. Thanks for helping create a memorable experience for us Amy. For travel - coming from Tokyo, you do not have train access all the way to it. We did not rent a car, so we needed to take a train from Tokyo -> Mishima, and then a taxi from there to the hotel. The staff helped with booking a taxi to and from Mishima and everything worked out perfect. We even had them help book a taxi to and from a local destination near the hotel and that was great as well. The villa is as beautiful as it looks in the photos. The pictures don't do the view justice though. Gorgeous forested mountains in the backdrop with a ton of green just outside. A small waterfall just outside of the house for the most relaxing white noise. Very comfy and the onsen was great. Lastly, the meals were delicious. The coursed out dinner was phenomenal, and breakfast was very tasty. They have an attached gelato shop and bakery as well, and both were also great. Smooth and fresh gelato, and as someone who smashes puff pastry on the regular - their bakery is legit. They provided a bunch of gelato free of charge in the room's freezer as well as a complimentary bag of pastries on our way out, very nice touch. Would 100% do it again.

The location is not obvious, but there is a free shuttle service between the station and the hotel. For those who want to rest for a night or a few days away from big cities, this hotel is perfect, especially the rooms with a private bathtub and a terrace facing Mount Fuji. The view is superb, it doesn't even seem real, and the bath in the private onsen is incredible for relaxing. The room is very clean and comfortable.

Great facilities for family trip, good location. Front desk staff were extremely friendly. Buffet breakfast and dinner offer great choice of food. Both public and private onsens are very good. Different types of private onsens to choose from. Very clean and spacious.

The hotel room is very clean and comfort. The private onsen is superb. You got to be in the hot tub while experiencing the cool weather and forest views. Dinner included in the package is very good too. It was the course menu with seafood and beef. My parents really enjoy it.

We loved everything about the hotel. The in-room private hot spring tub on the balcony was top. The onsen, spacious and with seaview, is one of the best we have had. The highlight was definitely the kaiseki dinner in our private dining area! We highly recommend this property.

Our 3rd Ryokan. Staff were super friendly and helpful. Hotel is very clean and looks like its been recently refurbished. Room is big and we had a beautiful view overlooking the river. Beds were comfy. The onsen we used was great!

This is an amazing ryokan. The staff is extremely friendly and nice. They do all and everything to make your stay memorable. The public onsen in the ryokan was great, very serene atmosphere. The room was huge, with a private onsen. All the facilities are very clean. The food (dinner and breakfast) is amazing, tasty and beautiful. The city is nice and quiet, great to walk around. There is a small bamboo forest, a river runs thru it, nice buildings. Picturesque!
