Great experience, they lent us shovels and yukata to dig our own onsen in the river in front. The food was incredible, with much variety, even though we asked for vegetarian options (breakfast + takeaway bento)

I was very happy when I got to the hotel the atmosphere just felt really friendly and warm. I loved the bridge over the river to the onsen. The onsen was lovely, three outside pools and an indoor pool plus a private onsen for families or couples. The food was fantastic, eat slowly I ate too quickly and felt full too soon. There was a very friendly front of house staff member called Suchittra or maybe Sasayuri. I had a western twin room on the ground floor. The hotel was comfortably busy without being hectic. They have a shuttle bus and that was very handy from Hongu. When I left they gave me very good instructions how and when to catch the public bus to my next location.

The property was wonderful, beautiful traditional Ryokan, clean rooms, lovely onsen. The staff is polite, nice, and welcoming. They pay attention to small details which I think is really beautiful. Very big and delicious dinner and breakfast. The location is perfect as well, close to the bus station that connects you to other villages and small places. Hope to come back again soon and a big thank you to everyone at Ryokan Adumaya. Arigato gozaimasu.
