The Almar--just like making new friends --all great / spot on . Julie & John are memorable and always helpful for advice where to go to eat out . Its their home but make everyone welcome . Bedroom good size & very clean and well fitted out. Breakfasts --anything you seem to desire !!, we had a large breakfast because we went to the closeby cricket ground. Location ==close to Peaseholm Park & 20 min stroll to Scarborough harbour. Why go elsewhere ???

A super place to stay a few days very near the coast. There's a good carpark, a mini mart across the road, with a post office and ATM, which was handy plus an attractive small park with play equipment. It was very hot when was there and they did provide fans, but no air conditioning. Otherwise the room was well equipped and very clean. The cooked breakfast was very good.

Staff were friendly and helpful, particularly with an allergy. The room was very clean and we appreciated the kettle and good supplies of tea, coffee etc We ate dinner and breakfast in the restaurant and both were very good and freshly cooked. There was a fridge for guest use and ample parking.

Great location. Very quiet room. Very clean. Tasty, varied, no nonsense food available in the evening. Breakfast was beautifully cooked. Good choice of alcohol in the bar
