The property has sea and mountain views, and is 33 km from Shuzen-ji Temple. The guest house features family rooms. At first I was surprised by the good ratings, but it was indeed well deserved! The staff was very friendly and the guesthouse is very spacious, with a great view to the mountain and the sea. We were very well received and everything was clean and tidy! Top experience

The hotel was wonderful from the very first moment. We arrived by car and found organized parking right in front of the hotel. The staff warmly welcomed us, took photos of us with the cherry blossoms and Mount Fuji, and then handled our luggage. Check-in was very clear and detailed, and our room had a stunning view of the lake and Fuji — absolutely beautiful! The location was excellent, and the traditional Japanese breakfast was both delicious and a memorable experience. We truly enjoyed our stay and even felt a bit sad that we didn’t have an extra day there. Highly recommended!

Traditional experience with an onsen and traditional tatami mat rooms. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The hotel has a free shuttle to take you from the hotel to Kawaguchiko Station.

Peacefully situated on the shore of Lake Kawaguchi in the scenic Mount Fuji area, Japanese-style hot spring hotel Kasuitei Ooya features rooms with stunning lake views, some boasting a private open-air bath. The hotel features a hot tub, massage treatments and karaoke rooms. My favorite stay in Japan. Beautiful property, was perfect for our needs. We hiked and made summit on Fuji on the first snowfall of the 2025 season, having the private onsen was wonderful for us to sooth our muscles and prevent soreness.
