Situated along Tanohara River and surrounded by tranquil nature in Kurokawa Onsen hot spring area, Oku no Yu Ryokan offers charming Japanese-style accommodation and various hot spring baths. • Onsen : The best I've tried so far (together with Gero). Has a really nice smell (unlike Beppu lol) and the temperature is perfect. There are also many different separate onsen baths which you can have for yourself for 1 hour if you ask. • Food : Overall great, standard Kaiseki meal (served in a dining room where each room is separated by a small movable wooden wall) • Staff : Very helpful and gave me the option to opt out of my room and go for a smaller one (cheaper) since my friend cancelled last moment and I ended up alone. • Location : As you can imagine, a great natural onsen is often in the countryside, you do have a bus that goes from Aso station (Kumamoto) all the way to Hakata station (Fukuoka) which stops by Kurokawa which is helpful. The ryokan's staff also pick you up at the bus stop if you inform them of your arrival time.

The staff were incredibly kind and welcoming, our waitress for our dinner was very fun to converse with, along with everyone else we spoke with. The dinner was very well made, the facilities were beautiful, and our rooms were everything we could’ve asked for. The location is also excellent in the middle of everything, allowing for an easy walk around Kurokawa.

Weniger als 40 km von Vulkan Aso und 49 km von See Kinrinko entfernt in Minamioguni gelegen, bietet die Unterkunft Hanare no Yado Hanagokoro Übernachtungsmöglichkeiten mit einem Restaurant sowie einem... Das private onsen ist sensationell. Einsam gelegen mit traditionell gutem Essen kann ich das Ryokan nur empfehlen. Die Gastgeber sind auf englishsprechende Gäste gut eingestellt.

Das Kurokawa Onsen Yama no Yado Shinmeikan verfügt über 5 Thermalbäder, darunter eine 30 m2 große Höhlenbadewanne. The staff was extremely helpful, parking our car for us and helping us navigate. The cave onsen was stunning, as the cave was much larger than I expected and very interesting, and the water was very relaxing. The food was also incredible!

Located in the centre of Kurokawa Onsen, Oyado Noshiyu offers outdoor and indoor hot-spring baths, Japanese-style accommodations and a traditional teahouse. We stayed in Shion room which was really special with a stove in the living room, a foot bath room and indoor bath. The outdoor public bath was really good too, and not crowded at all in the morning. The service provided by all the staff was very welcoming, making us feel relax and comfortable. Really enjoy the stay.

As soon as we arrived the staff went out of their way to make our stay special in every way. The food was also amazing and the onsen was relaxing. A highlight of our trip to Japan

Das Fumoto Ryokan ist im traditionellen japanischen Stil mit einem historischen Charme eingerichtet und bietet verschiedene Thermalbäder im Innen- und Außenbereich. Excellent hospitality from staff We couldn't find the ryokan and stuck in the no entry road and parking aside, my sis walk to the ryokan and the staff come to me and help to drive my car to the ryokan and thereafter help to park my car as the road there is really narrow. The staff are really attentive as we were "hands free" checking in and out as our luggage were very well taking care of. Dinner and breakfast were both excellent from the taste to the display of the food.

We liked everything: Yamashinobu is elegant, relaxing, beautiful and with many different onsen to try. The staff is kind and helpful and the food is exceptionally good. Would absolutely love to return.
