J-Hoppers Kumano Yunomine Guesthouse ligt in Hongu, op 10 minuten rijden of 70 minuten wandelen van de Kumano Kodo-pelgrimsroute vanaf Kumano Hongu Taisha Grand Shrine. I loved the common areas and the private onsens on site. They had 3 so you never had to wait for a long time to use one. It was just amazing. Loved the 10% off voucher for the only restaurant in town.

Minshuku Sumiya is gunstig gelegen in de wijk Kawayu Onsen in Tanabe, en ligt op 12 km van Hosshinmon Oji Shrine, 20 km van Kumanokodo Nakahechi Museum of Art en 23 km van Kumanoshi Kiwakozan Museum. Kohei the owner really puts his heart into the place and hosting guests! From the room to the food everything has a history. Also using the natural hot spring closeby is really cool! Make sure not to burn yourself :)

Hotel Kirinosato Takahara heeft zowel binnen als buiten warmwaterbaden en ligt op slechts 2 minuten lopen van de Kumano Kodo-pelgrimsroutes, die op de werelderfgoedlijst van Unesco staan. I love the design of the room which is very cozy and modern. The location is right at the center of Takahara and looking out the window, we can appreciate the whole Mountain View. I also love the foods. The host is very kind and accommodating that they agree to help us ship a package which is outside the service they listed to provide.

Ashita no Mori is goed gelegen in de wijk Kawayu Onsen in Hongu, en ligt op 20 km van Kumanokodo Nakahechi Museum of Art, 23 km van Kumanoshi Kiwakozan Museum en 33 km van Kamikura Shrine. One of our best experiences in Japan! The family who runs the place is absolutely lovely, the owner gave us tips for hiking the Kumano Kodo and about the onsen.

Great ryukan , Best feeling to take a full rest here after days on a trail, Onsen water in this area is one of the best I have experienced in japan. Full course Dinner and Breakfast is just wonderful , Staff and service is amazing !!!

Nakanoshima ligt op 5 minuten met de veerboot van de pier van Kanko Sanbashi en biedt warmwaterbronnen en massages. This hotel is like paradise! They have a private ferry to shuttle you to the hotel and when you get there, the staff are on top of assisting you with bags and anything. Rooms are a bit of a walk from the lobby (around 2-5 mins) but once you get there, you're greeted with an amazing traditional spacious tatami room and a breath-taking view. Their onsen is great too, with a huge selection of shampoo and conditioner, spacious locker area and bathing area, and an outdoor onsen as an option. Their package breakfast and dinner are also amazing, where you'll experience very traditional Japanese food. You can have a morning walk on their mountaintop, which you can access through the roof deck. There's a small shrine also to pay respects and you can watch dolphins jump around the ocean while fishing with a rented fishing rod.

一棟貸し民宿 川湯の家 is gelegen in Tanabe, op slechts 12 km van Hosshinmon Oji Shrine, en biedt accommodatie met gratis WiFi, gratis privéparkeren en uitzicht op de rivier. The staff were lovely and very helpful before and during our stay. The house is spacious and scrupulously clean. The beds are very comfortable, and the bath is worth the wait to fill with hot spring water. We enjoyed the free snacks and instant noodles for a no fuss dinner. The Kawayu Onsen bus stop is a few meters away, making transport easy. Soaking in the river hot springs is a short walk away. We would definitely stay here again.

Natural Hot Spring Inn Choseian - 長生庵 - is gelegen op 18 minuten lopen van Shirahama Beach en 2 km van Shirahama Art Museum, en biedt kamers met airconditioning en een gedeelde badkamer in Shirahama. Beautiful garden and relaxing Onsen. Dinners were all quite good!! Staff are all very helpful!

那智温泉 南の湯 - Nachi Manga Onsen is gelegen op 12 minuten lopen van Fudarakusanji Temple, en biedt accommodatie in Nachikatsuura met toegang tot een thermaalbad. Tetsuji was extremely supportive and attentive before, during and after our stay. The accommodation was unbelievably clean and spacious as it is carefully designed and organized. The bicycles were generously lend to us and we rode to Daimonzaka and the supermarket when bus went out of service, and believe me, it was indispensable. Not to mention the private onsen, being as large and well-designed as a delicate public onsen, is hidden in the adorable household. This is sincere appreciation from a travel enthusiast.
